PERSONAL EQUIPMENT LIST |
The following is a personal equipment list suggested for traveling to Yanahurco. Day temperatures can oscilate a lot on the mountains. You can have 65ºF at daytime and could go to upper 30's at night. Usually will be around 50's.

Shirt: Cotton or wool long sleeved or turtleneck.
Sweater: Heavy wool or pile jacket.
Trousers: Full length, wool or blend or pile or other warm pants.
Underwear: Thermal light-weight, top and bottom ( polypropylene ).
Headwear: Skycap or wool hat or wide brim felt hat; sky band.
Insulated clothing: Medium weight parka or pile jacket.
Foul-weather wear: Goretex parka or cagoule, anorak or mountain parka for
rain and wind. Must fit over bulky clothing.
Hand wear: Wool, leather or polypropylene mittens
Socks: Wool or polypropylene socks.
Footwear: Tennis or sport wear or light warm hiking boots for hacienda.
Rubber boots: if your size is over 9 1/2 ; smaller sizes are available at
the ranch.
Packs and rucksacks: Day pack and duffel waterproof bag.

Camping Equipment:
Sleeping bag: down to 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Only on Lagoon or longer trips.
Accessories:
Toilet kit
Cosmetic kit (reduce to minimum)
Sunglasses
Sun-blocking lotion
Sun-block lipstick or ointment
Flashlight with extra batteries
Washcloth
Bandana
Thermos water bottle (1 liter)
Optional accessories:
Camera, lenses, film and two sets of extra batteries, binoculars, reading and writing materials.
